Hammond EN4SD483616SSR 48x36x16-Inch Quarter-Turn 304 Stainless Enclosure

The EN4SD483616SSR is a deep, 304 stainless steel Eclipse Series wallmount enclosure measuring 48 in x 36 in x 16 in (1,219 mm x 914 mm x 406 mm). Described by the manufacturer as an N4X Eclipse enclosure with extra quarter turns, it gives panel builders a 16 in deep cavity for larger electrical and electronic equipment that needs protection in harsh, industrial environments.

Construction is formed 14 gauge stainless steel with continuously welded seams ground smooth, and a formed lip on the enclosure excludes flowing liquids and contaminants. The hinged door is secured by Type A stainless steel slotted quarter turns, seals on a seamless poured-in place gasket, and uses hidden hinges with stainless steel hinge pins. A door alignment guide is provided on 36 in wide enclosures, the door can be removed for modifications, and adapter kit EHLLSAK reverses the swing. The finish is natural stainless steel with a smooth brushed surface.

According to its drawing, the door opening is 34.31 in x 46.28 in, the door is 36.00 in x 47.97 in, and 30.65 in x 43.88 in of clear space is available on the door. Wall mounting holes are 0.50 in diameter on 34.50 in x 46.50 in centres, and a hardware kit with panel mounting nuts and sealing washers is included. Collar studs accept the optional EP4836 inner panel (46.20 in x 34.20 in), required at this width to maintain UL/CSA.

The EN4SD483616SSR is UL 508A and CSA Type 3R, 4, 4X and 12, complies with NEMA 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and IP66, and ships boxed at 135 lbs (61.23 kg). The 316 version is EN4SD483616S16R.
