Hammond EN4SD483612S16R 48x36x12-Inch Quarter-Turn 316 Stainless Enclosure

The EN4SD483612S16R is a 48 in x 36 in x 12 in (1,219 mm x 914 mm x 305 mm) Eclipse Series wallmount enclosure in 316 stainless steel. Its 12 in depth accommodates deeper equipment, and the 316 grade meets specifications that require it. The enclosure is designed to hold electrical and electronic equipment and protect it in harsh, industrial environments.

Formed 14 gauge stainless steel with continuously welded seams ground smooth gives the body its strength, and a formed lip excludes flowing liquids and contaminants. The hinged door uses Type A stainless steel slotted quarter turns and a seamless poured-in place gasket; hidden hinges carry stainless steel hinge pins. Door stiffeners are provided where required, a door alignment guide is supplied at the 36 in width, and adapter kit EHLLSAK allows the swing to be reversed. The finish is natural stainless steel with a smooth brushed look.

The drawing lists a 34.31 in x 46.28 in door opening, a 35.97 in x 47.97 in door and 30.65 in x 46.00 in of clear space available on the door. Wall mounting holes are 0.50 in diameter on 34.50 in x 46.50 in centres, and a hardware kit with panel mounting nuts and sealing washers is included. The optional EP4836 inner panel is 46.20 in x 34.20 in (1173 mm x 869 mm) and mounts on collar studs; an inner panel is required at this width to maintain UL/CSA.

The EN4SD483612S16R is UL 508A and CSA Type 3R, 4, 4X and 12 and complies with NEMA 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and IP66. It ships boxed at 148 lbs (67.13 kg). EN4SD483612SSR is the 304 version.
