Hammond DNDMS1916BK1 200 lb 2U Centered Solid Rack Shelf, 16in Deep

The DNDMS1916BK1 is a 2U solid centered rack shelf with a 16.00 in (406 mm) depth, built for 19.00 in (483 mm) rack mounting. It is intended for IT, telecom and AV installers who need to place non-rackmount equipment such as servers, UPS units and network devices inside a 2-post rack, where a front-only shelf would leave heavy gear cantilevered and unstable.

The centered mounting design positions the shelf so that load is distributed evenly between the front and rear rails of a 2-post rack, improving stability compared with front-mounted alternatives. Front and rear flanges are formed for added strength and act as equipment retainers to help keep gear from shifting on the platform.

Construction is 16-gauge mild steel with a textured black powder coat finish that is GREENGUARD, TSCA and RoHS compliant. Maximum rated load is 200 lb (91 kg). Overall dimensions are 3.50 in (89 mm) high by 16.00 in (406 mm) deep, occupying 2U of rack space, and shipping weight is 12 lbs (5.44 kg).

The front flange is punched with 8X 0.25 x 0.44 in slots for rack rail attachment; mounting hardware is not supplied with the shelf. This solid version provides full-surface support; a vented configuration is offered elsewhere in the DNDM Series for heat-generating equipment, along with additional depths and a 23 in mounting option.

DNDMS1916BK1 is TAA-compliant, manufactured in North America in an ISO 9001 certified facility, and is USMCA, RoHS and REACH compliant, making it suitable for data centers, network rooms, industrial and control environments, and broadcast racks.
