Hammond ACE16206LG 16 x 20 x 6 in Aluminum Command Enclosure, Type 12

The ACE16206LG is a 16 x 20 in aluminum command enclosure with a slim 6 in depth. It gives a generous full-front mounting area for operator interface devices while keeping a shallow profile, and is designed for use with suspension systems on indoor equipment where dirt, dust, oil and water may be present. Controls engineers and machine builders use it to bring electronic controls and instruments to the operator.

Construction starts with 0.081" Type 5052 H-32 aluminum for the body and door, joined by continuously welded seams that are ground smooth. A formed lip on the enclosure excludes flowing liquids and contaminants, and oil resistant gaskets are permanently secured. The 3mm aluminum door front panel is easily machined for pushbuttons, displays and other O/I devices.

Behind, a reversible rear door with slotted quarter turn fasteners and zinc diecast, black epoxy finished hinges and latches provides internal access and carries provisions for the optional ACEP1620 panel. The part drawing shows a rear door opening of 17.56 x 13.56 in. A bonding stud on the door and a grounding stud in the enclosure are provided, and vertical aluminum profiles on each side make rotation and positioning easier.

The enclosure measures 16.00 in (406 mm) high, 20.00 in (508 mm) wide and 6.00 in (152 mm) deep and ships at 16 lbs (7.26 kg). It includes a heavy duty reinforcing plate, with the optional Tara Plus (TPSS) or 50/80 (HDSS) suspension systems recommended for fastening. It is finished in RAL 7035 light gray powder coating, rated UL 508A Type 12 and cUL Type 12 (File E65324), complies with NEMA Type 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP54, and is RoHS and REACH compliant.
