Hammond ACE12166LG 12 x 16 x 6 in Aluminum Command Enclosure, Type 12

The ACE12166LG is a 12 in high by 16 in wide aluminum command enclosure, 6 in deep. Its full front mounting space and suspension system design make it suited to an operator interface station at the machine. It is designed for indoor use where dirt, dust, oil and water may be present, and serves machine builders and controls integrators.

Its body and door are 0.081" Type 5052 H-32 aluminum with continuously welded seams ground smooth, and a formed lip keeps flowing liquids and contaminants out. The front panel is 3mm aluminum, offering the full front as mounting space and easily machined for operator interface devices. A reversible rear door, fastened with slotted quarter turn fasteners and hung on zinc diecast hinges with black epoxy finish, gives internal access and has provisions for the optional ACEP1216 panel. Gaskets are oil resistant and permanently secured, and bonding and grounding studs are fitted.

Dimensions are 12.00 in (305 mm) high, 16.00 in (406 mm) wide and 6.00 in (152 mm) deep. The drawing shows a rear door opening of 13.56 x 9.56 in. Shipping weight is 14 lbs (6.35 kg). Vertical aluminum side profiles help rotate and position the enclosure, a heavy duty coupling reinforcing plate is included, and the optional Tara Plus (TPSS) or 50/80 (HDSS) suspension systems are recommended for fastening. The finish is RAL 7035 light gray powder coating on the enclosure, side extrusions and front panel.

The ACE12166LG carries UL 508A Type 12 and cUL Type 12 (UL File E65324), complies with NEMA Type 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP54, and is RoHS and REACH compliant.
