The 1650TA is a 120 watt (RMS) output transformer for push-pull parallel tube amplifiers with 4 or 6 output tubes. Its 1,900 ohm centre-tapped primary is rated at 403 mA DC per side, and the easy-wire secondary is tapped for 4, 8 and 16 ohm loudspeakers.
Suggested tube types are 6L6GC, 5881, EL34, 6550B and KT88. The 40% screen taps allow Ultra-Linear operation if desired, and typical applications are triode, Ultra-Linear pentode, pentode and tetrode connected push-pull audio output. The manufacturer notes that tube operating conditions change the optimum plate-to-plate load, so consult tube data first.
Rated response is 30 Hz to 30 kHz at full rated power, +/- 1 dB max. (ref. 1 kHz). Typical 1 kHz drawing values: 47.0 ohms primary DCR, 11.2 H primary inductance, 71 kOhm primary impedance and 63.72 mH leakage inductance, with secondary DCR of 221, 294 and 370 mOhm. Dielectric strength is 2000 Vrms and the temperature range -40 to 105 C.
The 1650TA is enclosed (shielded) with 4 slot, above chassis Type "X" mounting, plastic coil forms and insulated 8" minimum leads. Series table dimensions are A 3.75 in (95 mm), B 4.50 in (114 mm), C 4.56 in (116 mm), D 3.00 in (76 mm) and E 3.31 in (84 mm). The table lists 14 lbs; the shipping weight is 10.4 lbs. Made in Canada; RoHS and REACH compliant.
