The 1650RA is a 100 watt (RMS) hi-fi output transformer for push-pull and push-pull parallel amplifiers using 2 or 4 output tubes. It has a 5,000 ohm centre-tapped primary rated at 318 mA DC per side and an easy-wire secondary tapped for 4, 8 or 16 ohm loads.
Suggested tube types are 807, 5881, EL34, 6146B, 6550B and KT88. The 40% screen taps support Ultra-Linear operation if desired, and typical applications include triode, Ultra-Linear pentode, pentode and tetrode connected push-pull output.
Rated response is 30 Hz to 30 kHz at full rated power, +/- 1 dB max. (ref. 1 kHz). Typical drawing data at 1 kHz includes 105.6 ohms primary DCR, 14.6 H primary inductance, 91 kOhm primary impedance and 170.4 mH leakage inductance. This model lists a higher 2500 Vrms dielectric strength than most of its smaller siblings, with a -40 to 105 C temperature range.
