Hammond 1650LA 50W 5K Ohm CT Push-Pull Tube Output Transformer

The 1650LA is a 50 watt (RMS) push-pull hi-fi output transformer with a 5,000 ohm centre-tapped primary, rated at 150 mA DC per side, and a secondary tapped for 4, 8 or 16 ohm loads. The manufacturer short description reads "Audio TX 5.0K Ohm 50 Watt".

It belongs to the 1608A-1650A Easy Wire Secondary series, a new and improved version of the earlier 1608-1650 multiple secondary transformers with re-designed secondaries for easy hook-up of secondary loads. The series is designed for push-pull tube output circuits, with typical applications in triode, Ultra-Linear pentode, pentode and tetrode connected audio output, and all units except the 1650G include 40% screen taps for Ultra-Linear operation if desired.

Series-wide ratings apply: frequency response of 30 Hz to 30 kHz at full rated power (+/- 1 dB max., ref. 1 kHz) minimum, and the units are designed to provide ample headroom at bass frequencies. Construction uses plastic coil forms for coil support and insulation, with insulated flexible leads of 8" minimum.

The 1650LA is enclosed (shielded) with 4 slot, above chassis Type "X" mounting. Its series table dimensions are A 3.75 in (95 mm), B 3.96 in (101 mm), C 4.60 in (117 mm), D 3.00 in (76 mm) and E 2.81 in (71 mm), with 0.20 x 0.38 in mounting slots and a weight of 8 lbs.
