The 1650G is a 35 watt (RMS) push-pull output transformer distinguished by a wide range of secondary impedances: 3.5, 8, 16, 250 and 500 ohms. Its 6,600 ohm centre-tapped primary is rated at 200 mA DC per side, making it suited to builds that need to drive loudspeakers or higher-impedance lines from the same output stage.
Suggested tube types are 6L6GC, 807, 5881 and EL34 in push-pull (2 tubes). Unlike the other models in the 1608A-1650A family, the 1650G does not have primary screen taps and will not support Ultra-Linear applications, so it is intended for conventional triode, pentode or tetrode push-pull wiring.
The drawing rates frequency response at 30 Hz to 30 kHz (+/- 2 dB max., ref. 1 kHz) minimum. Typical values at 60 Hz: primary DCR 56.93 ohms (Blue-Red) and 60.95 ohms (Red-Brown), primary inductance 40.8 H with 15.85 kOhm impedance, and 29.70 mH leakage inductance. Secondary DCR ranges from 0.259 ohm (Black-Orange) to 9.550 ohms (Black-Red/Yel). Dielectric strength is 2000 Vrms and the temperature range -40 to 105 C.
The enclosed (shielded) case has 4 slot, above chassis Type "X" mounting, plastic coil forms and insulated 8" minimum leads. Dimensions are A 3.13 in, B 3.75 in, C 3.81 in, D 2.50 in and E 2.25 in, weight 5 lbs. The 1650G is made in Canada and RoHS and REACH compliant.
