Hammond 1594EBK 167mm Black Flame Retardant Abs Pcb Enclosure

The 1594EBK is the black standard version of the E size, the largest enclosure in the 1594 Heavy Duty ABS Enclosures series. It is a rugged electronic instrument enclosure ideally suited for mounting printed circuit boards, with enough footprint for larger control boards, interface electronics and instrument assemblies.

It is molded in flame retardant ABS plastic with a UL94 V-0 flame rating, in black (RAL 9011 on the drawing) with a matte textured finish. The heavy duty thick-wall design has a series average wall thickness of 0.13 in (3.3 mm). The lid is secured with four M3 x 0.5 - 0.71 in (18 mm) long Phillips machine screws; the drawing shows four M3x0.5 - 6H x 5.75 threaded holes in brass inserts.

Listed size is 6.57 in x 4.2 in x 2.56 in (167 mm x 107 mm x 65 mm), matching the series table's 167 x 107 x 65 mm. The drawing shows the assembly at 166.97 mm [6.57 in] by 106.97 mm [4.21 in] with a height of 64.85 mm [2.55 in].

The 1594EBK is rated IP54 and, per the series, can be upgraded to IP66 with gaskets (1594EGASKET) and screws with o-rings (1594WMS100). Replacement standard machine screws are 1594MS100. It is RoHS and REACH compliant, ships shrink wrapped at 0.63 lbs (0.29 kg), can be factory modified (milling, drilling, printing), and solid models are available in .stp or .x_t.
