Hammond 1594DWBK 132mm Water-Tight Black Abs Pcb Enclosure, IP65

The 1594DWBK is the black water-tight version of the 1594 D-size Heavy Duty ABS enclosure. It is a rugged instrument enclosure ideally suited for mounting printed circuit boards where moisture is a concern, serving OEM designers, field-equipment builders and integrators.

The body is molded in flame retardant ABS plastic with a UL94 V-0 flame rating, listed as liquid resistant black RAL 9011 on the drawing, in a matte textured finish. The thick-wall design has a series average wall thickness of 0.13 in (3.3 mm). The lid is secured with four M3 x 0.5 - 0.71 in (18 mm) long Phillips machine screws threaded into integral brass bushings; replacement machine screws with o-rings for water-tight versions are 1594WMS100 (pack of 100), and the replacement gasket is 1594DGASKET.

The part page lists an IP65 rating, while the series literature states that water-tight versions have been tested to and meet IP66. Listed size is 5.18 in x 2.6 in x 2.17 in (132 mm x 66 mm x 55 mm), with 131.5 x 66 x 55 mm in the series table. The drawing gives an inner box height of 49.30 mm [1.941 in] and a narrowest inside dimension of 56.97 mm [2.243 in].

The 1594DWBK is RoHS and REACH compliant and ships shrink wrapped at 0.31 lbs (0.14 kg). Circuit board holders are listed in the 1594Z Series, and factory modification (milling, drilling, printing) is available.
