Hammond 1590ZGRP083BK 160 x 75 x 55 mm Narrow Black Fiberglass Enclosure

The 1590ZGRP083BK is a narrow 160 x 75 mm enclosure molded from black glass reinforced polyester with a smooth finish and heavy duty thick wall. It gives OEM designers a longer board area than the 110 mm version in a watertight, NEMA 4X and IP66 rated black housing.

The part page gives 6.3 x 2.94 x 2.17 in (160 x 75 x 55 mm); the ordering table lists 6.30 in (160 mm) long, 2.95 in (75 mm) wide and 2.20 in (56 mm) assembled depth, with a 1.65 in (42 mm) base and a 15 mm lid. The internal shelf accepts a PC board up to 148.5 x 63 mm or the 1590ZGRP083PL steel inner panel (sold separately).

The lid is a two piece tongue and groove design sealing on a silicone sponge gasket, fastened by four self-captivated stainless steel screws at a recommended 8.8-13.3 lbf.in (100-150 cN.m). Replacement lid screws are SC583-50 (M4 - 0.7 x 25mm, 50 pack); SCGM4-50 is the copper ground hardware. Wall-mounting holes are outside the gasket channel.

It is rated IP66 and NEMA 1, 4, 4X, 12 and 13, certified to NEMA 4, 4X per UL 508A, C UL and UL listed under file E65324, and carries an IK09 impact rating in conformity with IEC 62208 and IEC 62262 plus a UL94 V-0 flame rating. The recommended operating temperature for the 1590ZGRP083BK is -40°C to +100°C (-40°F to +212°F). RoHS and REACH compliant; shipping weight 0.85 lbs (0.39 kg).
