Hammond 1590ZGRP081BK 80 x 75 x 55 mm Compact Black Fiberglass Enclosure

The 1590ZGRP081BK is the smallest enclosure in the black 1590ZGRPBK series, a compact thick-wall box molded from black glass reinforced polyester with a smooth finish. It suits OEM engineers and integrators who need a small, watertight housing for a compact PC board where a black finish is preferred.

The part page lists 3.17 x 2.97 x 2.17 in (81 x 75 x 55 mm); the short description gives a nominal 80 x 75 x 55 mm, and the ordering table lists 80 mm long, 75 mm wide and 56 mm assembled depth with a 41 mm base and a 15 mm lid. A PC board up to 68 x 63 mm fits the internal shelf, which also accepts the 1590ZGRP081PL steel inner panel (sold separately).

The two piece tongue and groove lid seals on a silicone sponge gasket and is held by four self-captivated stainless steel screws. Recommended cover screw torque is 8.8-13.3 lbf.in (100-150 cN.m). Spare screws are SC583-50 (M4 - 0.7 x 25mm, 50 pack). Wall-mounting through holes are located outside the gasket channel.

It is rated IP66 and NEMA 1, 4, 4X, 12 and 13, certified to NEMA 4, 4X per UL 508A, C UL and UL listed under file E65324, and carries an IK09 impact rating in conformity with IEC 62208 and IEC 62262 plus a UL94 V-0 flame rating. The recommended operating temperature for the 1590ZGRP081BK is -40°C to +100°C (-40°F to +212°F). It is RoHS and REACH compliant and ships at 0.53 lbs (0.24 kg).
