The 1590Z155GY is a deep, 221 x 121 x 90 mm diecast aluminum enclosure finished in smooth gray RAL 7001 powder paint inside and out. It is intended for integrators and equipment makers housing taller electronics in a watertight, industrial-gray enclosure.
It uses the 1590Z two piece tongue and groove diecast aluminum construction, with a 5.34 mm [.21 in] average wall thickness shown on the drawing. A replaceable one piece silicone rubber gasket rated -40C to +150C (-40F to 302F) is supplied loose. Four recessed stainless steel M6 - 1.0 x 45mm lid screws are self-captivating and thread into the lid on first installation, at a recommended 15-17 lbf.in (150-170 cN.m).
The enclosure is 221 mm (8.70 in) long, 121 mm (4.76 in) wide and 90 mm (3.54 in) deep overall, with a 30 mm (1.18 in) lid depth. The inside width is 104.74 mm and the inside depth 82.50 mm, with P.C. boards up to 206.71 x 105.82 mm. The 1590Z150PL steel inner panel fits the internal mounting shelf.
The 1590Z155GY is rated IP68, NEMA 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12 & 13 and IK08 per IEC62262, and is cUL and UL listed (file #E65324), RoHS and REACH compliant. It ships with the box, lid, silicone gasket, 4 cover screws and 4 ground screws with washers. Customers should conduct their own testing to determine suitability for any specific application.
