Hammond 1590Z155BK 221x121x90 mm Textured Black Diecast Enclosure

The 1590Z155BK is the textured black, powder-painted version of the deep 1590Z155 diecast aluminum enclosure. Painted inside and out, it offers a dark finished housing with extra depth for sealed electronics that need room for taller parts.

The diecast aluminum alloy box and lid use two piece tongue and groove construction with a 5.34 mm [.21 in] average wall thickness. Sealing comes from a replaceable one piece silicone rubber gasket rated -40C to +150C (-40F to 302F), shipped loose inside. Four recessed stainless steel lid screws (M6 - 1.0 x 45mm) are self-captivating and create threads on first installation; torque them to 15-17 lbf.in (150-170 cN.m).

Overall size is 221 mm (8.70 in) x 121 mm (4.76 in) x 90 mm (3.54 in) with a 30 mm (1.18 in) lid depth. The drawing gives 104.74 mm inside width and 82.50 mm inside depth, and boards up to 206.71 x 105.82 mm fit. The internal mounting shelf takes the 1590Z150PL steel inner panel, secured with SCGM6-20 copper ground hardware.

The 1590Z155BK is rated IP68, NEMA 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12 & 13 and IK08 per IEC62262, and is cUL and UL listed (file #E65324), RoHS and REACH compliant. Wall mounting holes are blind and located outside the gasket. Included are the box, lid, gasket, 4 cover screws and 4 ground screws with washers. Customers should conduct their own testing to determine suitability for any specific application.
