Hammond 1590Z150GY 221 x 121 mm Gray RAL 7001 Diecast Enclosure

The 1590Z150GY pairs the 221 x 121 mm 1590Z150 diecast aluminum enclosure with a smooth gray RAL 7001 powder paint applied inside and out. It fits panel builders and system integrators who need a gray, watertight housing for larger electronics assemblies.

Built from diecast aluminum alloy with two piece tongue and groove construction, the enclosure has a 4.90 mm [.19 in] average wall thickness and seals on a replaceable one piece silicone rubber gasket rated -40C to +150C (-40F to 302F). The gasket is supplied loose. Four recessed, self-captivating stainless steel machine screws create their own threads on first installation and should be tightened to 15-17 lbf.in (150-170 cN.m).

Dimensions are 221 mm (8.70 in) long, 121 mm (4.76 in) wide and 81 mm (3.19 in) deep overall, with a 21 mm (0.83 in) lid depth. The drawing gives an inside width of 104.05 mm and inside depth of 73.00 mm, and the maximum P.C. board is 206.71 x 105.82 mm. The internal mounting shelf accepts the optional 1590Z150PL steel inner panel.

Ratings are IP68, NEMA 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12 & 13 and IK08 per IEC62262, and the 1590Z150GY is cUL and UL listed (file #E65324), RoHS and REACH compliant. Mounting holes accept M6 machine screws and sit outside the gasket. Included: box, lid, silicone gasket, 4 cover screws and 4 ground screws with washers. Customers should conduct their own testing to determine suitability for any specific application.
