Hammond 1590Z155 221x121x90 mm Deep Natural Diecast Enclosure

The 1590Z155 is the deeper sibling of the 1590Z150: a natural diecast aluminum enclosure with the same 221 x 121 mm footprint but a 90 mm total depth and 30 mm lid depth. It suits builders who need extra height for taller components, connectors or stacked boards inside a watertight, thick-wall housing.

The box and lid are diecast aluminum alloy joined by two piece tongue and groove construction, with an average wall thickness of 5.34 mm [.21 in] on the drawing. A replaceable one piece silicone rubber gasket rated -40C to +150C (-40F to 302F) is supplied loose inside. Four recessed stainless steel lid screws, self-captivating and thread-forming on first installation, are M6 - 1.0 x 45mm; recommended torque is 15-17 lbf.in (150-170 cN.m).

The ordering table gives 221 mm (8.70 in) x 121 mm (4.76 in) x 90 mm (3.54 in), lid depth 30 mm (1.18 in). Inside width is 104.74 mm and inside depth 82.50 mm per the drawing, with a maximum P.C. board size of 206.71 x 105.82 mm. The internal mounting shelf accepts the 1590Z150PL steel inner panel, shared with the 1590Z150.

The 1590Z155 is rated IP68, NEMA 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12 & 13 and IK08 per IEC62262, and is cUL and UL listed (file #E65324), RoHS and REACH compliant. It ships with the box, lid, silicone gasket, 4 cover screws and 4 ground screws with washers. Customers should conduct their own testing to determine suitability for any specific application.
