Hammond 1590WBBFL 120x94x34mm IP65 Diecast Enclosure, Flanged Lid

The 1590WBBFL is a natural-finish, water-tight diecast aluminum enclosure in the 1590BB footprint with a wall-mounting flange integrated into the lid. It is intended for designers and installers who want to mount a compact electronics housing lid-side against a wall or panel, with the enclosure designed to meet IP65.

The box and lid are diecast aluminum alloy, easy to drill and mill for cable entries and controls. The unpainted surface is vibra finished so edges are smooth, not sharp. A lap joint between lid and box helps keep out dust and splashing water, and the silicone gasket for this liquid-resistant version is included, supplied loose inside the box.

Nominal size is 4.72 x 3.70 x 1.34 in (120 x 94 x 34 mm). The drawing gives 148.00 mm [5.827 in] overall across the lid flange, 94.00 mm [3.701 in] width and 34.00 mm [1.339 in] height. Inside there is 112.66 mm [4.435 in] of length, 87.16 mm [3.432 in] of width and 29.75 mm [1.171 in] of height. The maximum PC board size is 85.16 x 110.66 mm, and the low side wall draft (2 degrees or less) simplifies board mounting.

Four 3.50 mm [0.138 in] holes in the lid flange are used for mounting. The 1590WBBFL includes the box, lid and 4 cover screws for the factory-tapped 6-32 UNC holes; recommended torque is 50-55 cN.m [71-78 ozf.in], or 25-30 cN.m [36-43 ozf.in] with the gasket. It weighs 0.54 lbs (0.24 kg) shipped and is RoHS and REACH compliant.
