The 1590WBBK is the black textured, water-tight version of the 1590B diecast aluminum enclosure, with no mounting flanges. This compact box suits electronics designers, hobby-to-OEM product builders and instrument makers who need a small, rugged metal housing designed to meet IP65.
Box and lid are diecast aluminum alloy, tough yet easy to machine for pots, jacks and switches. The black version is coated with tough polyester powder paint that keeps a lasting finish, even after machining, and black screws are included. Lap joint construction where lid and box meet protects against dust and splashing water, and the silicone gasket arrives loose inside the enclosure so it can be fitted after machining.
