The 1590LBFLBK is a small black diecast aluminum enclosure with a wall-mounting flange integrated into its lid. Nominally 1.99 in x 1.99 in x 1.22 in (51 mm x 51 mm x 31 mm), it is intended for compact sensors, modules and indicators that mount through the lid and need a finished black housing.
The finish is a textured black polyester powder paint, described as lasting even after machining, and black screws are included. Box and lid are diecast aluminum alloy joined by a lap joint that protects against dust and splashing water; the enclosure is designed to meet IP54.
According to the drawing, the flanged lid is 77.00 mm [3.031 in] overall with holes 65.04 mm [2.561 in] apart. The box is 50.60 mm [1.992 in] across and 31.00 mm [1.220 in] tall, with 45.50 mm [1.791 in] of inside length and width and 27.05 mm [1.065 in] of inside height. P.C. boards up to 44.7 mm square fit, and side walls are drafted at 2° or less.
The assembly includes the box, lid and 4 cover screws in factory-tapped 6-32 UNC holes, with a recommended torque of 50-55 cN.m [71-78 ozf.in]. The 1590LBGASKET kit upgrades the 1590LBFLBK to IP65 at 25-30 cN.m [36-43 ozf.in]; the water-tight equivalent is 1590WLBFLBK. RoHS and REACH compliant; 0.17 lbs (0.08 kg), packaged in a bag.
