Hammond 1590LLB 51x51x25mm Diecast Aluminum Enclosure, IP54

The 1590LLB is the shallowest of the small square 1590 Series diecast aluminum enclosures, measuring 1.99 in x 1.99 in x 0.98 in (51 mm x 51 mm x 25 mm). It shares the 51 mm footprint of the 1590LB but is 25 mm tall rather than 31 mm, making it well suited to thin boards, small sensors and slim modules.

From the drawing, outside dimensions are 50.50 mm [1.988 in] square and 25.00 mm [0.984 in] high. Inside, it provides 45.63 mm [1.796 in] of length and width and 21.00 mm [0.827 in] of height. The manufacturer lists a maximum P.C. board size of 44.83 mm x 44.83 mm, and side walls are drafted at 2° or less for easy board mounting.

The box and lid are diecast aluminum alloy, tough yet easy to machine. This natural version is vibra finished for a smooth surface without sharp edges. A lap joint where the lid meets the box protects against dust and splashing water, and the standard 1590LLB is designed to meet IP54. It has no mounting flanges; see the 1590LLBF for a flanged bottom plate.

Supplied with the box, lid and 4 cover screws in factory-tapped 6-32 UNC holes, with a recommended torque of 50-55 cN.m [71-78 ozf.in]. The optional 1590LBGASKET kit upgrades it to IP65 with lid screws at 25-30 cN.m [36-43 ozf.in], and a water-tight 1590WLLB is offered. RoHS and REACH compliant; 0.15 lbs (0.07 kg), shrink wrapped.
