Hammond 1590LBGASKET IP65 Silicone Gasket 2-Pack, 51mm Square Boxes

The 1590LBGASKET is a kit of two pre-formed silicone gaskets for the small 51 mm square 1590 Series diecast aluminum enclosures. The ordering table lists it as the replacement gasket kit for both the 1590LB (31 mm high) and 1590LLB (25 mm high) sizes, in natural and black, with no flanges, a flanged lid or a flanged bottom plate.

Standard 1590 enclosures are designed to meet IP54; this kit is how an IP54 enclosure is upgraded to IP65, and it also replaces the gasket supplied loose with the water-tight versions such as 1590WLB and 1590WLLB. Because it is fitted after the fact, the enclosure can be machined and/or painted first and gasketed later, which helps engineers who drill or finish boxes before assembly.
