Hammond 1589T8F1BKRR 1U 20A Rack PDU, 8 Rear 5-20R Outlets

The 1589T8F1BKRR is a 1U horizontal 19-inch rackmount power distribution unit that delivers 20A single-phase power to eight rear-facing NEMA 5-20R receptacles. It is intended for IT, networking, AV, telecom, test and industrial equipment mounted in standard 19-inch racks and cabinets, where connections are made at the back of the rack and cabling needs to stay organised.

All eight outlets on this model face the rear (0 front, 8 rear) and are heavy-duty NEMA 5-20R receptacles rated 20A, 125VAC that accept both NEMA 5-15P and 5-20P equipment plugs. The unit is supplied with a 12/3 SJT cord terminated in a NEMA 5-20P straight-blade plug, and a resettable circuit breaker is built in to help protect against accidental electrical overload. This version of the chassis uses an illuminated power indicator rather than an on/off switch, giving clear visual indication of operating status. Amp metering, surge protection and shielded cord are not included on 1589T8F1BKRR.

Construction is black painted steel front and back, finished in textured RAL9005 black powder coat that meets applicable GREENGUARD indoor air quality and RoHS requirements. Overall dimensions are 1.72 in (44 mm) high by 19.00 in (483 mm) wide by 2.66 in (68 mm) deep, with the drawing showing an overall width of 482.60 mm (19.000 in) and a 444.50 mm (17.500 in) mounting-hole span. Shipping weight is 4 lbs (1.81 kg).

The series is UL/cUL recognized to UL 1363 and CSA C22.2 No. 308-14 under UL File E166039; the drawing for 1589T8F1BKRR also cites CSA certification to C22.2 (No. 21-95, 42-99) and UL Recognized Standard UL1363. The unit is made in Canada, USMCA and TAA compliant, RoHS and REACH compliant, and rated for operation from -20°C to +60°C.
