Hammond 1589T8F1BKRF 8-Outlet 1U Rack PDU, 20A 5-20R Front Outlets

The 1589T8F1BKRF is a horizontal 1U rackmount power distribution unit for standard 19-inch racks and cabinets, giving IT, networking, AV, telecom, test and industrial equipment access to 20A single-phase power at the front of the rack. All eight NEMA 5-20R receptacles face forward, so patch-panel-side and front-access equipment can be plugged in without routing cords around the chassis.

Outlets are heavy-duty NEMA 5-20R receptacles rated 20A, 125VAC and accept both NEMA 5-15P and 5-20P equipment plugs. The unit is fitted with a 12/3 SJT power cord terminated in a NEMA 5-20P straight-blade plug, plus a resettable circuit breaker to help protect against accidental electrical overload. This is the "T" version of the model: it uses an illuminated power indicator (pilot light) rather than an on/off switch, so the status of the strip is visible at a glance. It has no amp metering, no surge protection, no shielded cord, no rotated outlets and is not hospital grade.

Construction is painted steel, front and back, in black; the series uses a textured RAL9005 black powder coat finish that meets applicable GREENGUARD indoor air quality and RoHS requirements. Overall dimensions are 1.72 in (44 mm) high, 19.00 in (483 mm) wide and 2.66 in (68 mm) deep, and shipping weight is 4 lbs (1.81 kg).

1589T8F1BKRF is UL/cUL recognized to UL 1363 and CSA C22.2 No. 308-14 under UL File E166039, with the drawing also citing CSA certification to C22.2 No. 21-95 and 42-99. It is RoHS, REACH and USMCA compliant, TAA compliant for applicable U.S. federal procurement, made in Canada, and rated for operation from -20°C to +60°C.
