Hammond 1589T42F1 42 in 7-Outlet 20A Vertical PDU, Pilot Light

The 1589T42F1 is a 42 in (1067 mm) vertical basic PDU from the 1589H-T Series, built for IT, AV and electrical professionals who need clean 120 V power distribution inside a cabinet or along a rack frame. It provides seven 20 A, 125 VAC NEMA 5-20R receptacles with a single T-slot, so both 5-15P and 5-20P equipment cords can be plugged in, plus a power indicator (pilot light) version rather than an on/off switch.

The case is an anodized aluminum extrusion with ABS plastic end caps, giving a low-profile slim design in a rugged, lightweight package. Receptacles are 1 in square and equally spaced over the length of the strip, and a resettable 20 A circuit breaker protects the load. Power comes from a 6 ft heavy-duty 12/3 SJT cord with an integral molded NEMA 5-20P straight-blade plug, suitable for extreme temperature ranges, with an operating temperature of -20 °C to +60 °C. Finish is natural; a black finish is available upon request.

Overall assembly length is 1078.69 mm (42.468 in) with an extrusion dimension of 1071.88 mm (42.200 in), and shipping weight is 4 lbs (1.81 kg). A mounting bracket kit with hardware is included with the 1589T42F1; additional hardware kits can be ordered as P/N 1585CLIP.

Mount it vertically in server cabinets, wall mount cabinets or open frame racks, or horizontally above a work bench. Note that outlet strips cannot be used between the front and rear panel rails of rack cabinets, as the strip and equipment plugs will interfere with mounted equipment and accessories; allow sufficient depth behind the rear panel rails for vertical mounting to the struts.
