Hammond 1589T36F1 36 in 20A Vertical PDU, 6 NEMA 5-20R Outlets

The 1589T36F1 is a 36 in (914 mm) vertical basic PDU rated 20A at 120VAC single-phase, built for IT, AV and facilities teams that need straightforward rack power distribution without metering or switching. This version uses a power indicator (pilot) light rather than an on/off switch, and includes a resettable 20 Amp circuit breaker.

The housing is an anodized aluminum extrusion with ABS plastic ends in a natural finish, giving a low-profile slim design in rugged, light weight aluminum. Heavy-duty black receptacles are rated 20A, 125VAC (NEMA 5-20R, single T-slot), are 1 in square and are equally spaced over the length of the strip. Power is supplied by a heavy duty 12 gauge 12/3 SJT cord, 6 ft long, suited to extreme temperature ranges, with an integral molded NEMA 5-20P straight blade plug. Operating temperature range is -20 C to +60 C.

Overall assembly length on the drawing is 926.39 mm (36.472 in), with the receptacle field spanning 919.48 mm (36.200 in) and receptacles on 127.00 mm (5.000 in) centers. A mounting bracket kit with hardware is included; additional hardware kits are available as P/N 1585CLIP.

1589T36F1 mounts vertically in server cabinets, wall mount cabinets and open frame racks, or horizontally above a work bench. Per the series notes, outlet strips cannot be used between the front and rear panel rails of rack cabinets because the strip and equipment plugs will interfere with mounted equipment and accessories; allow sufficient depth behind the rear panel rails for vertical mounting to the struts.

The PDU is UL Listed to UL1363 and CSA Certified to C22.2 (No. 21-95, 42-99) and CSA C22.2 No. 308-14, under UL File # E166039. It is RoHS and REACH compliant, USMCA compliant, TAA-compliant for federal GSA schedule purchases within the USA, and manufactured in North America.
