Hammond 1589T36G1 36-Inch 6-Outlet Vertical PDU, 20A 120V

The 1589T36G1 is a 36 in (914 mm) vertical basic PDU from the 1589H-T Series, built for IT, AV and electrical teams that need clean 20A, 120VAC power distribution inside a rack or cabinet. This version is the pilot-light model (the matching on/off switch version is 1589H36G1), so power status is visible at a glance without an operator-accessible switch. A resettable 20A circuit breaker is built into the strip.

The case is an anodized aluminum extrusion with ABS plastic ends, giving a low-profile slim design in a rugged, light weight package. The finish is Natural. Receptacles are heavy-duty black 20A, 125VAC NEMA 5-20R (single T-slot), 1 in square and equally spaced over the length of the strip; the drawing shows six 20A/125V NEMA 5-20R receptacles with 127.00 mm (5.000 in) typical spacing, while the part attributes list 8 total outlets, all front-facing. Overall assembly length is 926.39 mm (36.472 in) with a body length of 919.48 mm (36.200 in) and a 41.05 mm (1.616 in) profile.

Power input is a heavy duty 12 gauge 12/3 SJT cord, 15 ft long, with an integral molded NEMA 5-20P straight blade plug rated for extreme temperature ranges. Operating temperature range is -20 C to +60 C. There is no surge protection, no metering, no shielded cord and no rotated outlets.

A mounting bracket kit with hardware is included with the 1589T36G1; order P/N 1585CLIP for an additional hardware kit. Per the series notes, outlet strips cannot be used between the front and rear panel rails of rack cabinets, and sufficient depth behind the rear rails is required for vertical mounting to the struts.
