Hammond 1589T18C1 18" 6-Outlet 20A Vertical PDU, L5-20P Cord

The 1589T18C1 is an 18 in. (457 mm) vertical basic PDU with six 20A/125V NEMA 5-20R receptacles, intended for IT, AV and industrial users who need to distribute single-phase 120V power inside a server cabinet, wall mount cabinet or open frame rack. This version carries a power indicator light rather than an on/off switch, along with a reseatable 20 amp circuit breaker, so the strip can be reset in place after an overload.

Construction is a low-profile slim aluminum extrusion with an anodized finish and ABS plastic ends, keeping the unit rugged but light at a 2.65 lbs (1.20 kg) shipping weight. The natural finish is standard; a black finish is available upon request. The 1 in. square receptacles are equally spaced over the length of the strip, and all six outlets face the front with none on the rear.

The drawing gives an overall assembly length of 456.49 mm (17.972 in) with a 449.58 mm (17.700 in) case dimension, and an end profile of 29.18 mm (1.149 in). Power is supplied by an integral 6 ft heavy duty 12/3 SJT cord with a molded NEMA L5-20P locking plug, rated for extreme temperature ranges, with an operating temperature range of -20 C to +60 C.

A mounting bracket kit with hardware is included with each strip; additional kits can be ordered as P/N 1585CLIP. The strip can be mounted vertically or horizontally above a work bench. Note that outlet strips cannot be used between the front and rear panel rails of rack cabinets, as the strip and equipment plugs will interfere with mounted equipment and accessories; allow sufficient depth behind the rear rails for vertical mounting. 1589T18C1 is UL Listed to UL1363 and CSA certified, RoHS and REACH compliant, TAA-compliant and manufactured in North America.
