Hammond 1589T18F1 18 in Vertical PDU, 6 Outlets, 20A 120V

The 1589T18F1 is an 18 in vertical basic power distribution unit built for IT, AV and electrical installers who need reliable 120V power inside server cabinets, wall mount cabinets and open frame racks. It carries six 20A/125V NEMA 5-20R receptacles, a power indicator (pilot) light instead of a switch, and a resettable 20 Amp circuit breaker.

Construction is a low-profile, slim anodized aluminum extrusion with ABS plastic end caps, keeping the unit rugged but light at a 2.5 lb (1.13 kg) shipping weight. The finish is natural, and the heavy-duty black receptacles are 1 in square and equally spaced over the length of the strip. Power is supplied through a heavy duty 12 gauge 12/3 SJT cord, 6 ft long, with an integral molded NEMA 5-20P straight blade plug suited to extreme temperature ranges.

The nominal strip length is 18.00 in (457 mm); the drawing shows an overall assembly length of 456.49 mm [17.972 in] with a 41.05 mm [1.616 in] front profile and 29.18 mm [1.149 in] end profile. A mounting bracket kit with hardware is included; additional kits are available as P/N 1585CLIP. The strip can also be installed horizontally above a work bench.

• Note #1: Outlet strips cannot be used between the front and rear panel rails of rack cabinets, as they and the equipment plugs will interfere with mounted equipment and accessories.
• Note #2: For rack cabinets, allow sufficient depth behind the rear panel rails for vertical mounting to the struts.
