The 1589H77F1 is a 77 inch vertical basic PDU (outlet strip) rated 20A at 120VAC, built for IT, AV and facilities teams powering equipment in server cabinets, wall mount cabinets and open frame racks. It carries 12 heavy-duty black NEMA 5-20R receptacles (20A, 125VAC, single T-slot) fed by an integral 6 ft, 12/3 SJT cord with a molded NEMA 5-20P straight blade plug.
Construction is a low-profile, slim anodized aluminum extrusion case with ABS plastic ends, keeping the strip rugged but light. The natural (anodized aluminum) finish is standard; a black finish is available upon request. The 1 inch square receptacles are equally spaced over the length of the strip, and an on/off rocker power switch plus a resettable 20 Amp circuit breaker are built into the unit.
Overall assembly length is 1967.69 mm (77.468 in) from the side view, with the strip length listed as 77.00 in (1956 mm) in the series table. Shipping weight is 6 lbs (2.72 kg). A mounting bracket kit with hardware is included; additional hardware kits are available as P/N 1585CLIP.
Per the manufacturer's notes, outlet strips cannot be used between the front and rear panel rails of rack cabinets, since the strip and equipment plugs interfere with mounted equipment and accessories. For rack cabinet use, allow sufficient depth behind the rear panel rails so the strip can be mounted vertically to the struts. The strip can also be installed horizontally above a work bench.
