Hammond 1589H70G124 70 in 24-Outlet Vertical PDU, 20A 120V

The 1589H70G124 is a vertical basic power distribution unit from the Hammond 1589H-T Series, rated 20A at 120VAC single-phase. It carries 24 NEMA 5-20R receptacles along a 70.00 in (1778 mm) strip, making it suited to IT, AV and industrial users who need a high outlet count down the full height of a server cabinet, wall mount cabinet or open frame rack. An on/off rocker switch and a resettable 20 Amp circuit breaker are built in.

The case is a low-profile anodized aluminum extrusion with ABS plastic ends, giving a rugged but light weight assembly in a natural finish. Receptacles are 1 in. square, heavy-duty black, rated 20A/125VAC (NEMA 5-20R single T-slot) and equally spaced over the length of the strip at 63.50 mm (2.500 in) spacing. Overall assembly length is 1789.89 mm (70.468 in) with a body depth of 29.18 mm (1.149 in) and a 41.05 mm (1.616 in) profile at the outlet face.

Power is supplied by a 15 ft heavy-duty 12 gauge cord (12/3 SJT) with an integral molded NEMA 5-20P straight blade plug, and the unit is rated for operation from -20 °C to +60 °C. A mounting bracket kit with hardware is included; additional kits are available as P/N 1585CLIP. The unit can be mounted vertically in cabinets and racks or horizontally above a work bench.

1589H70G124 is UL Listed to UL1363 and CSA Certified (UL file E166039), TAA-compliant for federal GSA schedule purchases within the USA, RoHS and REACH compliant, and manufactured in North America. Note that outlet strips cannot be used between the front and rear panel rails of rack cabinets, and sufficient depth behind the rear rails is required for vertical mounting.
