Hammond 1589H70G1 70" 20A Vertical PDU, 10 Outlets, 15 ft Cord

The 1589H70G1 is a 70-inch vertical basic PDU (outlet strip) rated 20A at 120VAC single-phase, built for IT, AV and facilities teams powering equipment in server cabinets, wall-mount cabinets and open frame racks. It can also be installed horizontally above a work bench. The ordering table and drawing list 10 equally spaced NEMA 5-20R outlets for this length, each receptacle 1" square, with an on/off rocker switch and a resettable 20 Amp circuit breaker.

Construction is a low-profile, slim anodized aluminum extrusion with ABS plastic end caps, keeping the strip rugged but light at a 7 lb (3.18 kg) shipping weight. The finish is natural (black finish available upon request per the series data). Power is supplied by a heavy-duty 12 gauge 12/3 SJT cord, 15 ft long, with an integral molded NEMA 5-20P straight-blade plug suited to extreme temperature ranges; operating temperature is -20°C to +60°C. Receptacles are heavy-duty black, rated 20A 125VAC (NEMA 5-20R, single T-slot).

Nominal strip length is 70.00 in (1778 mm); the drawing shows an overall assembly length of 70.468 in (1789.89 mm) with a 1.149 in (29.18 mm) by 0.200 in (5.08 mm) end profile. A mounting bracket kit with hardware is included with each 1589H70G1; additional hardware kits can be ordered as P/N 1585CLIP.

The series notes that outlet strips cannot be used between the front and rear panel rails of rack cabinets, as the strip and equipment plugs will interfere with mounted equipment and accessories; allow sufficient depth behind the rear panel rails to mount vertically to the struts. The 1589H70G1 is UL/cUL Listed to UL1363 and CSA C22.2 No. 308-14 (UL File # E166039), CSA Certified to C22.2 No. 21-95 and 42-99, RoHS and REACH compliant, USMCA compliant, TAA-compliant for federal GSA schedule purchases within the USA, and manufactured in North America.
