Hammond 1589H70D124 70 in 24-Outlet Vertical PDU, 20A L5-20P

The 1589H70D124 is a 70 in (1778 mm) vertical basic PDU from the 1589H-T Series, built for IT, AV and facilities teams that need dense 120 V power distribution alongside rack-mounted equipment. It carries 24 heavy-duty black NEMA 5-20R receptacles rated 20 A at 125 VAC, a 20 A resettable circuit breaker and an on/off rocker power switch, and it is fed by an integral 15 ft 12/3 SJT cord with a molded NEMA L5-20P locking plug.

Construction is a low-profile anodized aluminum extrusion with ABS plastic end caps, giving a rugged but light-weight strip in a natural finish (the series is available in black finish upon request). The 1 in square receptacles are equally spaced over the length of the strip, and the heavy 12 gauge cord is suited to the -20 °C to +60 °C operating temperature range.

Overall assembly length is 1789.86 mm (70.467 in) with the receptacle pattern spanning 1783.08 mm (70.200 in); the strip stands 41.05 mm (1.616 in) tall and 29.18 mm (1.149 in) deep as viewed from the end. Shipping weight is 7.1 lbs (3.22 kg).

A mounting bracket kit with hardware is included, so 1589H70D124 can be installed vertically in server cabinets, wall mount cabinets and open frame racks, or horizontally above a work bench. Additional hardware is available as P/N 1585CLIP. Note that outlet strips cannot be used between the front and rear panel rails of rack cabinets, as the strip and equipment plugs will interfere with mounted equipment and accessories; allow sufficient depth behind the rear panel rails for vertical mounting to the struts.
