Hammond 1589H70C1 70-Inch Vertical PDU, 20A 120V, L5-20P Plug

The 1589H70C1 is a 70 in (1778 mm) vertical basic PDU from the 1589H-T series, built for IT, AV and electrical professionals who need straightforward 20 A power distribution inside a server cabinet, wall mount cabinet or open frame rack. It is rated 120 VAC, 20 A, uses heavy-duty black NEMA 5-20R single T-slot receptacles rated 20 A / 125 VAC, and terminates in an integral molded NEMA L5-20P locking plug on a 6 ft cord.

Construction is a low-profile, slim anodized aluminum extrusion with ABS plastic end caps, finished in Natural. The 1 in square receptacles are equally spaced over the length of the strip, and the unit includes an on/off rocker power switch plus a resettable 20 A circuit breaker. The supply cord is heavy duty 12 gauge, 12/3 SJT, suited to extreme temperature ranges, and the operating temperature range is -20 C to +60 C. Shipping weight is 5.5 lbs (2.49 kg).

Overall assembly dimensions on the drawing are 1789.89 mm (70.468 in) long, with a strip body length of 1783.08 mm (70.200 in) and a profile of 41.05 mm (1.616 in) by 29.18 mm (1.149 in). A mounting bracket kit with hardware is included; additional hardware kits are available as P/N 1585CLIP. Note that outlet strips cannot be used between the front and rear panel rails of rack cabinets, as the strip and equipment plugs will interfere with mounted equipment and accessories; allow sufficient depth behind the rear panel rails for vertical mounting to the struts.

1589H70C1 is UL Listed to UL1363 and CSA Certified (C22.2 No. 21-95, 42-99; series lists CSA C22.2 No. 308-14), UL file E166039, RoHS and REACH compliant, USMCA and TAA-compliant for federal GSA schedule purchases within the USA, and manufactured in North America. It is not metered, has no surge protection and is not hospital grade.
