Hammond 1589H60G1 60" 10-Outlet Vertical PDU, 20A 120V Strip

The 1589H60G1 is a 60 in (1524 mm) vertical basic PDU from the Hammond 1589H-T Series, built for IT, AV and facilities teams that need straightforward 20A, 120V single-phase power distribution inside a server cabinet, wall mount cabinet or open frame rack. It carries 10 heavy-duty black NEMA 5-20R receptacles (20A, 125VAC service, single T-slot), all front-facing, and terminates in a 15 ft power cord with an integral molded NEMA 5-20P straight blade plug.

Construction is a rugged, lightweight anodized aluminum extrusion with ABS plastic end caps in a natural finish, giving a low-profile slim design that tucks out of the equipment area. The 1 in square receptacles are equally spaced over the length of the strip, and the unit includes an on/off rocker power switch plus a resettable 20 Amp circuit breaker. Drawing dimensions show an overall assembly length of 1535.99 mm (60.472 in); shipping weight is 6 lbs (2.72 kg).

A mounting bracket kit with hardware is included with each outlet strip; additional hardware kits can be ordered as P/N 1585CLIP. Per the series notes, outlet strips cannot be used between the front and rear panel rails of rack cabinets because the strip and equipment plugs will interfere with mounted equipment and accessories — allow sufficient depth behind the rear panel rails to mount vertically to the cabinet struts.

1589H60G1 is UL/cUL Listed to UL1363 and CSA C22.2 No. 308-14 (UL file E166039), with the drawing also citing CSA C22.2 No. 21-95 and 42-99, and is rated 125 VAC, 60 Hz, 20 Amps. The heavy duty 12/3 SJT cord suits extreme temperature ranges, with an operating temperature range of -20 C to +60 C. The unit is RoHS and REACH compliant, TAA-compliant for federal GSA schedule purchases within the USA, and manufactured in North America.
