Hammond 1589H60F1 60 in 10-Outlet Vertical PDU, 20A 120V

The 1589H60F1 is a 60 in (1524 mm) vertical basic PDU, or power outlet strip, built for IT, AV and electrical work where several pieces of rack-mounted equipment need to be fed from one 20 A, 120 VAC circuit. The series ordering table, short description and part drawing show 10 heavy-duty black NEMA 5-20R receptacles along the length of the strip, an on/off rocker switch and a resettable 20 amp circuit breaker, so power can be switched and protected at the strip itself.

Construction is a low-profile slim anodized aluminum extrusion with ABS plastic end caps, keeping the unit rugged but light. The finish on this part number is Natural; the series is available in black finish upon request. Receptacles are 1 in square and equally spaced over the length of the power strip, with 127.00 mm (5.000 in) typical spacing shown on the drawing for this part. Shipping weight is 7 lbs (3.18 kg).

1589H60F1 is supplied with a 6 ft heavy duty 12/3 SJT cord with integral molded NEMA 5-20P straight blade plug, rated for extreme temperature ranges, and operating temperature runs from -20 degrees C to +60 degrees C. A mounting bracket kit with hardware is included; additional hardware kits are available as P/N 1585CLIP.

Mount it vertically in server cabinets, wall mount cabinets and open frame racks, or horizontally above a work bench. Per the series notes, outlet strips cannot be used between the front and rear panel rails of rack cabinets because they and the equipment plugs will interfere with mounted equipment and accessories; allow sufficient depth behind the rear panel rails for vertical mounting to the struts.
