Hammond 1589H77C1 77" Vertical PDU with Switch, 20A L5-20P Plug

The 1589H77C1 is a 77 in (1956 mm) vertical basic PDU from the 1589H-T Series, built for full-height server cabinets, wall mount cabinets and open frame racks where a long run of 20A convenience outlets is needed. It is rated 120VAC / 20 Amps, uses heavy-duty black NEMA 5-20R single T-slot receptacles rated 20A, 125VAC, and terminates in a 6 ft heavy duty 12/3 SJT cord with an integral molded NEMA L5-20P locking plug.

Construction is a low-profile slim anodized aluminum extrusion with ABS plastic ends, finished in Natural. The rugged light weight aluminum case keeps the strip slim enough to tuck along a cabinet upright, and receptacles are 1 in square and equally spaced over the length of the strip. This "H" version carries an on/off rocker power switch plus a resettable 20 Amp circuit breaker; the equivalent pilot-light version is 1589T77C1.

Per the drawing, the extrusion measures 1960.88 mm [77.200 in] with an overall assembly length of 1967.69 mm [77.468 in]. Shipping weight is 6.5 lbs (2.95 kg). A mounting bracket kit with hardware is included; additional hardware kits are available as P/N 1585CLIP. The unit can also be installed horizontally above a work bench.

Note that outlet strips cannot be used between the front and rear panel rails of rack cabinets, as the strip and equipment plugs will interfere with mounted equipment and accessories; allow sufficient depth behind the rear panel rails for vertical mounting to the struts. 1589H77C1 is UL Listed to UL1363 and CSA Certified (C22.2 No. 21-95, 42-99; series sheet also cites CSA C22.2 No. 308-14), UL file E166039, RoHS and REACH compliant, TAA-compliant for federal GSA schedule purchases within the USA, and manufactured in North America. Operating temperature range is -20 C to +60 C. This model has no surge protection, no metering, no rotated outlets and is not hospital grade.
