Hammond 1589H70D1 70 in 10-Outlet 20A Vertical PDU, L5-20P Plug

The 1589H70D1 is a 70 in (1778 mm) vertical basic PDU (outlet strip) rated 20A at 120VAC, built for IT, AV and industrial users who need to distribute power inside server cabinets, wall mount cabinets and open frame racks. It carries ten 20A/125V NEMA 5-20R receptacles fed by a 15 ft locking NEMA L5-20P power cord, plus an on/off rocker power switch and a resettable 20 amp circuit breaker.

Construction is a low-profile slim anodized aluminum extrusion case with ABS plastic ends, keeping the strip rugged but light at a 7 lb (3.18 kg) shipping weight. The finish is natural (black finish is available upon request). Receptacles are 1 in square, heavy-duty black, and equally spaced along the strip at 127.00 mm (5.000 in) typical centres; the drawing shows an overall assembly length of 1789.89 mm (70.468 in). The attached cord is heavy duty 12 gauge 12/3 SJT with an integral molded plug, suited to operating temperatures from -20 C to +60 C.

A mounting bracket kit with hardware is included with the strip; additional kits can be ordered as P/N 1585CLIP. Hammond notes that outlet strips cannot be installed between the front and rear panel rails of rack cabinets, since the strip and equipment plugs will interfere with mounted equipment and accessories — allow sufficient depth behind the rear panel rails for vertical mounting to the struts. The strip can also be mounted horizontally above a work bench.

1589H70D1 is UL Listed and cUL to UL1363 and CSA C22.2 No. 308-14 (UL file E166039), RoHS and REACH compliant, USMCA and TAA-compliant for federal GSA schedule purchases within the USA, and manufactured in North America.
