Hammond 1589H24G1 24" Vertical PDU, 8 Outlets, 20A 120V

The 1589H24G1 is a 24 in. (610 mm) vertical basic power distribution unit with eight NEMA 5-20R outlets, rated 20 A at 120 VAC single-phase. It is built for IT, AV and facilities teams that need straightforward, unmetered power distribution inside server cabinets, wall mount cabinets and open frame racks, or mounted horizontally above a work bench.

Construction is a low-profile slim anodized aluminum extrusion with ABS plastic end caps, keeping the strip rugged but light at a 4.5 lbs (2.04 kg) shipping weight. The finish is natural; black finish is available upon request. Heavy-duty black receptacles are rated for 20 A, 125 VAC service (NEMA 5-20R, single T-slot), are 1 in. square and are equally spaced over the length of the strip. All eight outlets face the front; there are no rear outlets and no rotated outlets.

Power comes in through a 15 ft heavy-duty 12 gauge cord (12/3 SJT) with an integral molded NEMA 5-20P straight blade plug, suited to extreme temperature ranges. An on/off rocker power switch and a resettable 20 amp circuit breaker are built in. Operating temperature range is -20 degrees C to +60 degrees C. This model has no surge protection, no metering, no shielded cord and is not hospital grade; the pilot-light equivalent is 1589T24G1.

A mounting bracket kit with hardware is included with each 1589H24G1; additional kits can be ordered as P/N 1585CLIP. Note that outlet strips cannot be used between the front and rear panel rails of rack cabinets, as they and the equipment plugs will interfere with mounted equipment and accessories; allow sufficient depth behind the rear panel rails for vertical mounting to the struts. The unit is UL/cUL Listed to UL1363 and CSA C22.2 No. 308-14, RoHS and REACH compliant, TAA-compliant for federal GSA schedule purchases within the USA, and manufactured in North America.
