Hammond 1589H24D1 24" 8-Outlet 20A Vertical PDU, L5-20P Plug

The 1589H24D1 is a 24 in. long vertical basic PDU (outlet strip) rated 20A at 120VAC, built for IT, AV and industrial users who need clean, code-listed power distribution inside server cabinets, wall mount cabinets and open frame racks. It carries eight heavy-duty black NEMA 5-20R receptacles (single T-slot, rated 20A/125VAC), all facing the front, plus an on/off rocker switch and a resettable 20 Amp circuit breaker. A pilot-light version of the same configuration is offered as 1589T24D1.

Construction is a low-profile slim anodized aluminum extrusion with ABS plastic end caps, so the strip stays rugged while remaining light weight at a 4.52 lbs (2.05 kg) shipping weight. The finish is Natural; black finish is available upon request. Receptacles are 1 in. square and equally spaced over the length of the strip.

Nominal strip length is 24.00 in (610 mm), with the drawing showing an overall assembly length of 608.79 mm [23.968 in]. Power is supplied by an integral heavy-duty 12 gauge 12/3 SJT cord, 15 ft long, terminated in a molded NEMA L5-20P locking plug for a secure twist-lock connection. Operating temperature range is -20 degrees C to +60 degrees C.

Each 1589H24D1 ships with a mounting bracket kit with hardware; order P/N 1585CLIP for an additional hardware kit. Mount it vertically in a cabinet or horizontally above a work bench. Note that outlet strips cannot be used between the front and rear panel rails of rack cabinets, since the strip and equipment plugs will interfere with mounted equipment and accessories; allow sufficient depth behind the rear rails for vertical mounting to the struts. The strip is UL/cUL Listed to UL1363 (UL File E166039), TAA-compliant for federal GSA schedule purchases within the USA, RoHS and REACH compliant, and manufactured in North America.
