Hammond 1589H24F1 24 in 8-Outlet 20A Vertical Power Strip

The 1589H24F1 is a 24 in (610 mm) vertical basic PDU from the 1589H-T Series, built for IT, AV and electrical professionals who need clean, code-listed power distribution inside a rack, cabinet or work area. It provides eight 20A/125V NEMA 5-20R single T-slot receptacles on the front face, an on/off rocker switch and a resettable 20 Amp circuit breaker, so a small group of servers, switches, amplifiers or bench tools can be fed and isolated from one strip.

Construction is a low-profile anodized aluminum extrusion with ABS plastic end caps, keeping the unit rugged but light enough for vertical strut mounting. The finish is Natural; black is available upon request. Power comes from an integral molded NEMA 5-20P straight-blade plug on a heavy duty 6 ft 12/3 SJT cord rated for extreme temperature ranges, and the strip operates from -20 degrees C to +60 degrees C.

Drawing dimensions show an overall assembly length of 608.79 mm [23.968 in] against the nominal 24.00 in strip length, with a slim extrusion profile of 41.05 mm [1.616 in] by 29.18 mm [1.149 in]. The 1 in square receptacles are equally spaced over the length of the strip. Shipping weight is 3 lbs (1.36 kg).

Each 1589H24F1 ships with a mounting bracket kit and hardware; additional kits can be ordered as P/N 1585CLIP. Mount vertically in server cabinets, wall mount cabinets or open frame racks, or horizontally above a work bench. Per the series notes, outlet strips cannot be used between the front and rear panel rails of rack cabinets, and sufficient depth must be allowed behind the rear rails for vertical strut mounting.

The unit is UL Listed to UL1363 (UL File # E166039) and CSA certified, TAA-compliant for federal GSA schedule purchases within the USA, RoHS and REACH compliant, and manufactured in North America.
