Hammond 1589H36F1 36 in Vertical PDU, 6 Outlets, 20A Switched

The 1589H36F1 is a 36 in (914 mm) vertical basic PDU from the 1589H-T series, built for IT, AV and facilities teams who need straightforward 120 V power distribution inside a rack or cabinet. It provides six heavy-duty black NEMA 5-20R receptacles rated for 20 A, 125 VAC service, all facing the front of the strip, plus an on/off rocker switch and a resettable 20 A circuit breaker.

The case is an anodized aluminum extrusion with ABS plastic ends, giving a low-profile slim design in a natural finish that stays light enough for vertical mounting without adding bulk. Receptacles are 1 in square and equally spaced over the length of the strip. Overall assembly length measures 926.39 mm (36.472 in), with the extrusion at 919.48 mm (36.200 in) and a body profile of 41.05 mm (1.616 in). Shipping weight is 4 lbs (1.81 kg).

Power comes from an integral molded NEMA 5-20P straight-blade plug on a heavy-duty 6 ft, 12/3 SJT cord rated for extreme temperature ranges; the unit operates from -20 degrees C to +60 degrees C. A mounting bracket kit with hardware is included, so the 1589H36F1 can be installed vertically in server cabinets, wall mount cabinets and open frame racks, or horizontally above a work bench. • Note: outlet strips cannot be used between the front and rear panel rails of rack cabinets, as the strip and equipment plugs will interfere with mounted equipment and accessories.
