Hammond 1589H42G1 42" 7-Outlet Vertical PDU, 20A 120V Switched

The 1589H42G1 is a 42 in (1067 mm) vertical basic PDU from the 1589H-T Series, built to distribute 120VAC single-phase power inside server cabinets, wall mount cabinets and open frame racks. It carries seven NEMA 5-20R outlets rated 20A, 125VAC, all facing the front, plus an on/off rocker switch and a resettable 20 Amp circuit breaker for local control and protection of connected equipment.

Construction is a low-profile, slim anodized aluminum extrusion with ABS plastic end caps, keeping the strip rugged but light. The receptacles are 1 in square, heavy-duty black single T-slot type, and are equally spaced over the length of the strip. Power is supplied by a 15 ft, heavy duty 12 gauge 12/3 SJT cord with an integral molded plug, suited to extreme temperature ranges, and the assembly is rated for operation from -20 degrees C to +60 degrees C. The finish is Natural; a black finish is available in this series upon request.

Drawing dimensions for 1589H42G1 show an overall assembly length of 42.468 in (1078.69 mm) with a 42.200 in (1071.88 mm) housing, a 1.616 in (41.05 mm) profile and a 1.149 in (29.18 mm) depth at the end view. Shipping weight is 5 lbs (2.27 kg).

A mounting bracket kit with hardware is included; additional kits are available as P/N 1585CLIP. Per the series notes, outlet strips cannot be used between the front and rear panel rails of rack cabinets, as they and the equipment plugs will interfere with mounted equipment and accessories — allow sufficient depth behind the rear rails for vertical mounting to the struts. The unit is UL Listed to UL1363 (UL file E166039), CSA certified, RoHS and REACH compliant, USMCA and TAA-compliant for federal GSA schedule purchases within the USA, and manufactured in North America.
