Hammond 1585H15A1 48-Inch 15-Outlet Vertical PDU, 15A 120V

The 1585H15A1 is a 48 in (1219 mm) vertical basic PDU from the Hammond 1585-6-7-8 Series, built for IT, AV and electrical installers who need many 120 V outlets distributed along the height of a rack, cabinet or relay rack frame. It carries 15 NEMA 5-15R receptacles, all on the front face, and is rated 125 VAC, 60 Hz, 15 amps.

The low-profile slim housing is a rugged, lightweight anodized aluminum extrusion with ABS plastic end caps, supplied in a Natural finish. Receptacles are 1 in square and equally spaced over the length of the strip on a 2.500 in (63.50 mm) typical pitch, so cords and wall-wart style adapters spread out instead of crowding each other. Power comes in through an integral moulded NEMA 5-15P straight-blade plug on a heavy duty 14/3 SJT cord, 6 ft long, suitable for extreme temperature ranges.

Control and protection are built in: this version uses an illuminated-position on/off rocker switch plus a resettable 15 amp circuit breaker. A pilot-light version of the same configuration is catalogued as 1585T15A1 if a switch is not wanted. The 1585H15A1 has no surge protection, is not metered, and has non-rotated outlets.

Each outlet strip ships with a mounting bracket kit and hardware for vertical installation; additional hardware kits are available as P/N 1585CLIP. The strip can also be laid horizontally on a workbench. Overall assembly length measures 48.468 in (1231.09 mm) including end caps, and shipping weight is 3.5 lbs (1.59 kg).
