Hammond 1585H10B1S 48-Inch 10-Outlet Vertical PDU with Surge

The 1585H10B1S is a vertical basic power distribution unit with integral surge protection, built for IT, AV and electrical teams that need clean 120V distribution inside a rack or cabinet. It provides 10 NEMA 5-15R outlets on the front face, an on/off rocker switch, a resettable 15 amp circuit breaker and a surge indicator light, all rated 125 VAC, 60 Hz, 15 amps.

The case is an anodized aluminum extrusion with ABS plastic ends, giving a low-profile slim design in a natural finish that is rugged yet light weight. The strip length is 48.00 in (1219 mm), with an overall assembly length of 1231.19 mm [48.472 in] and a slim body profile of 41.05 mm [1.616 in] by 29.18 mm [1.149 in]. Receptacles are 1 in square and are equally spaced over the length of the power strip, so multi-plug power supplies and wall warts have room to sit. Shipping weight is 5 lbs (2.27 kg).

Surge protection uses 25000 amp rated MOVs for a total of 75,000 amps of single pulse transient current, with 1080 J maximum energy, a 500V Voltage Protection Rating in all three modes (L-N, L-G, N-G) and a 5kA nominal discharge current. A green indicator light confirms the surge module is active; internal protection disconnects the module at the end of its useful life and extinguishes the light while maintaining power to the load, now unprotected.

Power comes from a heavy duty 14 gauge 14/3 SJT cord, 15 ft long, with an integral molded NEMA 5-15P straight blade plug suited to extreme temperature ranges. Each 1585H10B1S includes a mounting bracket kit with hardware; order P/N 1585CLIP for an additional hardware kit. The unit is cULus Listed to UL 1449 and C22.2 No. 269.3-17 as a Type 3 Surge Protective Device and to UL 1363 and C22.2 No. 308-18 for relocatable power taps, plus TAA-compliant and RoHS compliant, manufactured in North America.
