Hammond 1585H15A1S 15-Outlet 48 in Vertical PDU With Surge Protection

The 1585H15A1S is a vertical basic power distribution unit (PDU) with surge protection, built for IT, AV and electrical teams that need to feed multiple loads from a single 15A, 125VAC circuit. It provides 15 NEMA 5-15R outlets, all on the front face, plus an on/off rocker switch, a resettable 15 amp circuit breaker and a green surge indicator light that confirms the surge module is active.

The case is an anodized aluminum extrusion with ABS plastic ends, giving a low-profile, slim and lightweight assembly in a natural finish. Receptacles are 1 in square and equally spaced over the length of the strip. Power comes from an integral 6 ft heavy-duty 14 gauge 14/3 SJT cord with a molded NEMA 5-15P straight blade plug, suitable for extreme temperature ranges.

Strip length is 48.00 in (1219 mm), with an overall assembly length of 48.472 in (1231.19 mm) and a shipping weight of 4 lbs (1.81 kg). A mounting bracket kit with hardware is included so the 1585H15A1S can be installed in server cabinets, wall mount cabinets or open frame racks, or mounted horizontally above a work bench. Surge performance is rated at 1080 J maximum energy, with 25000 amp rated MOVs for a total of 75,000 amps of single pulse transient current, a 500V Voltage Protection Rating (Vpr) in all three modes (L-N, L-G, N-G) and a 5kA Nominal Discharge Current (In). If the surge module reaches the end of its useful life, internal protection disconnects it and extinguishes the green light while power to the load is maintained, now unprotected.

The unit is cULus Listed to UL 1449 and C22.2 No. 269.3-17 for Type 3 Surge Protective Devices and to UL 1363 and C22.2 No. 308-18 for relocatable power taps and multi outlet assemblies. It is RoHS and REACH compliant, USMCA compliant and TAA-compliant for federal GSA schedule purchases within the USA.
