Hammond 1585H15B1S 48-Inch 15-Outlet Vertical Surge PDU, Switched

The 1585H15B1S is a 48" vertical basic power distribution unit with surge protection, built for IT, AV and electrical professionals who need to feed many devices from a single 15A, 125VAC branch circuit. It carries 15 NEMA 5-15R receptacles, all on the front face, spaced equally over the length of the strip, and is finished in Natural (anodized) aluminum.

Construction is a rugged, light-weight anodized aluminum extrusion with ABS plastic ends, giving a low-profile slim design that fits tight vertical channels. Overall assembly length is 1231.19 mm (48.472 in) with a strip length of 1219.20 mm (48.000 in); shipping weight is 4 lbs (1.81 kg). Receptacles are 1" square. An on/off rocker switch, resettable 15 Amp circuit breaker and green surge indicator light are integrated into the housing.

Surge protection is rated at 1080 Joules maximum energy with 25000 Amp rated MOVs for a total of 75,000 Amps of single pulse transient current, a Voltage Protection Rating (Vpr) of 500V in all three modes (L-N, L-G, N-G) and a Nominal Discharge Current (In) of 5kA. The green indicator confirms the surge module is active; internal protection disconnects the module at the end of its useful life and extinguishes the light while maintaining power to the load, now unprotected.

Power comes from a 15 ft heavy duty 14 gauge 14/3 SJT cord with an integral molded NEMA 5-15P straight blade plug, suited to extreme temperature ranges. A mounting bracket kit with hardware is included with the 1585H15B1S; additional kits are available as P/N 1585CLIP. The unit is cULus Listed to UL 1449 & C22.2 No. 269.3-17 (Type 3 SPD) and UL 1363 & C22.2 No. 308-18, TAA-compliant for federal GSA schedule purchases within the USA, RoHS and REACH compliant, and manufactured in North America.
