Hammond 1585H10A1S 48-Inch 10-Outlet Vertical PDU with Surge

The 1585H10A1S is a 48-inch vertical basic power distribution unit with ten NEMA 5-15R outlets, built for IT, AV and facilities teams that need clean single-phase power distribution inside a server cabinet, wall mount cabinet or open frame rack. It is rated 125VAC, 60 Hz, 15 Amps and includes integrated surge protection, an on/off rocker switch and a resettable 15 Amp circuit breaker.

Construction is a low-profile, slim anodized aluminum extrusion with ABS plastic ends, keeping the unit rugged but light. The finish is natural. All ten outlets face the front (no rear outlets), are 1 inch square, and are equally spaced over the length of the strip. Outlets are not rotated, and the unit is not hospital grade or metered.

The strip length is 48.00 in (1219.20 mm) with an overall assembly length of 48.472 in (1231.19 mm), and the unit ships at 4 lbs (1.81 kg). Power is supplied by a heavy duty 14 gauge, 14/3 SJT cord rated for extreme temperature ranges with an integral molded NEMA 5-15P straight blade plug; on this part number the cord is 6 ft long and unshielded.

Surge performance on 1585H10A1S includes 1080 J maximum energy, 25000 Amp rated MOVs for a total of 75,000 Amps of single pulse transient current, a 500V Voltage Protection Rating in all three modes (L-N, L-G, N-G) and a 5kA nominal discharge current. A green indicator light confirms the surge module is active; internal protection disconnects the module at the end of its useful life and extinguishes the light while maintaining power to the load, now unprotected.

A mounting bracket kit with hardware is included; additional kits are available as P/N 1585CLIP. The unit is cULus Listed to UL 1449 and C22.2 No. 269.3-17 (Type 3 SPD) and to UL 1363 and C22.2 No. 308-18, is RoHS and REACH compliant, TAA-compliant for federal GSA schedule purchases within the USA, and manufactured in North America.
