The 1583T6A1BKRA is a 1U horizontal 19-inch rack mount basic PDU (outlet strip) with six rear-facing NEMA 5-15R receptacles, rated 15 A at 120/125 VAC single phase. It is designed for power distribution from the rear of the unit, making it suited to IT, AV and industrial racks where equipment cords land at the back of the enclosure. This version uses a red power indicator (pilot) light rather than an illuminated on/off rocker switch, so the strip is always live when plugged in.
Outlets on this model are rotated, giving extra spacing for clearance of most plug-in transformers - useful when powering wall-wart style supplies for network gear, AV converters or small appliances. All six outlets face the rear; there are no front-facing outlets on this part number.
Construction is painted steel, front and back, in a black finish (RAL9005 black powder coat), which complies with the Greenguard guidelines for indoor air quality. A resettable 15 A, 125 VAC circuit breaker is built in to prevent accidental overload. The 1583T6A1BKRA ships with an integral moulded NEMA 5-15P straight-blade plug on a heavy-duty 6 ft, 14 gauge 14/3 SJT cord rated for extreme temperature ranges.
