Hammond 1583T6A1BK 1U 6-Outlet Rack PDU, 15A Rear-Facing Strip

The 1583T6A1BK is a 1U horizontal 19-inch rack mount basic PDU (outlet strip) rated 15A single-phase, with six NEMA 5-15R outlets all facing the rear of the unit. It is intended for IT, AV, broadcast and OEM installations where equipment cords are dressed behind the rack and the front panel needs to stay clear. This version uses a red power indicator light (pilot light) rather than an on/off rocker switch, so connected loads stay live whenever the strip is plugged in.

Power comes in through an integral moulded NEMA 5-15P straight-blade plug on a 6 ft heavy-duty 14/3 SJT cord, rated for extreme temperature ranges. A resettable 15 Amp, 125 VAC circuit breaker on the panel guards against accidental overload. The drawing rates the assembly at 125 VAC, 60 Hz, 15 Amps; the part data lists a rated voltage of 120 VAC.

Construction is painted steel front and back, finished in RAL9005 black powder coat that complies with the Greenguard guidelines for indoor air quality.
